I’ve long wanted to keep a directory of methods – it makes sense that practitioners have a reference of the tools and their applications when designing engagement exercises. I hope you enjoy it.
How we made it
Many of the methods have come from my head, and experiences in digital engagement. These have grown organically over time.
Of course, there was a good amount of soul searching and input from other experts as well as suggestions from the masses. The methods search engine was developed with relatively simple logic but tested against scenarios thrown at it where the best methods had been pre-determined.
What to do next
Benchmarking is really important. People often ask me, “is that normal?”. I want to collect figures about participation rates so that they can sit on each method. If I had more time and money, I would do it sooner! Feel free to donate some 🙂
